Oh guys, it has been one hell of a week. Actually it has been one hell of a month but this last week was like a whirlwind of chaos and I’m feeling a little light-headed.
Who here hates moving? ME! Between getting boxes, finding a new place and throwing out old crap I have gone right passed annoyed and onto the strongest of emotions which is that of hatred. Moving is by far the least favourite thing to do in life. Ever! And I am going slightly insane. Like Jack Nicholson, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest CRAZY! And of course it has ruined my Sunday routine chill out vibe. Boo!
The good news is, that I found a nice studio with a balcony (it’s the little added bonuses that make me happy ) and it’s in a really great area of London. Yup, that’s right guys, this gal is moving out to be on her own. And I can’t wait.
As you know, I’m an only child, so living with a friend for the past three years has finally taken a toll. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the company. But there were a few things that were weighing heavily on me. And it kind of got to me. So the move is very necessary and I can’t wait to make my place a little haven of comfy cosy-ness.
The funny thing is, that I can’t believe I have this much shit. There’s mounds of shit and I have no idea where it all came from. As I started moving things around I noticed random lonely socks all over the place. Normally I would be delighted to be reunited with socks I haven’t seen in ages. But with every sock I found I knew that there wouldn’t be a perfectly timed slow motion frolic and sappy lovey dovey music as I re-introduced each one to their rightful partner. They already knew the fate of the others. And as I pick up each one, they were all limp with sadness knowing that they too would be thrown out. Sobs…
I managed to pack about 10 boxes. Phew! But I have had enough today. So to boost my spirits I decided to watch The Negotiator. You know the one with Kevin Spacey and Samuel L. Jackson. All day as I was packing I had this major urge to watch it. I have no idea why. Maybe I need to brush up on my negotiating skills? Or it’s probably because I just absolutely love Kevin Spacey.
So all in all guys, there is going to be big changes ahead. And I’m feeling a little giddy just thinking about it.
